Two athletes from Chenango Valley, one athlete from Horseheads and one diver from Corning provide top-10 seeds for this weekend's New York State Public High School Athletic Association Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at Ithaca College. .
The competition begins Friday at the Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium and concludes with the swim finals on Saturday.
As we head into the weekend, we will introduce four players who may appear in Round 4.

Tyler Schultz, Chenango Valley
Schultz, a senior, is aiming to return to the championship finals in the 200-yard individual medley (1:53.22) and 100 breaststroke (57.19) after finishing sixth in public school and seventh overall last year. . .
His top time in IM, 1:52.63, earned him the fourth seed overall. Eric Nadecki of Horace Greeley in Section 1 is the top seed with an All-American time of 1:49.05.
Schultz's seed time for the breaststroke was 56.88 seconds, breaking her own Section 4 record of 56.91, set last year. Schultz is the No. 4 seed overall in the breaststroke, with Max Buchen (Westhampton Beach) leading the way with a score of 54.26.

Amir Sadikov, Chenango Valley
Sadikov, also a senior, will join Schultz in two of CV's three relays that advanced to state. He is also one of the fastest swimmers in the state in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.
This season's top-50 time of 21.22 seconds ranks seventh among competitors after tying for 23rd overall at last year's state meet.
Sadikov is seeded eighth in the 100 backstroke (51.75 points), a change after finishing 10th overall in the breaststroke at last year's state meet.
Shun Fung Lee, Horseheads
The Lee family has had a long history of success in swimming at Horseheads, with Shun-Fung Lee following in the path set by his older brother Shun-Shin.
Last year, Sean Fong, now a senior, placed 15th in the 200 IM and 21st in the 500 freestyle at the state meet, and finished eighth overall and seventh among public schools in the Blue Raiders' 400 freestyle relay.
This weekend, Lee will compete in the individual IM and backstroke events. He is seeded eighth in the IM (1:53.99) and 15th in the backstroke (52.86).
Brenden Jardine Reed, Corning
Junior Jardine Reed added yards for Corning's football team in the fall and soared again this winter with 3-foot boards.
This will be his second appearance at the state tournament after posting a high score of 589.20 at the Section 4 Class A championship meet two weeks ago. Jourdan Reed placed 17th at last year's state meet.
His sectional scores rank Jourdan Reed third among this weekend's competitors. Tristan Young of Jericho took first place with 639.85 points and Matthew Wong of PSAL School Francis Lewis took second place with 619.20 points.
NYS Men's Swimming Tournament
Competition begins Friday at 10 a.m. with swimming preliminaries, followed by the full-scale diving competition at 1:30 p.m.
Swimming begins at 10 a.m. Saturday with 11 bonus races and a repechage race, followed by a championship race.
This is the third year in a row that the event has been held at the Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium in IC's Athletics and Events Center. Ithaca has been renewed as a host site from 2025 to 2027.

Tickets are digital only and available at gofan.co/app/school/NYSPHSAA. The sale is divided into separate sessions: swim preliminaries, diving and swim finals. The cost is $11.50 per session.
