Longview 3, Hall Building 0: HALLSVILLE – Three set-piece goals gave the Longview Lobos a 3-0 win over Hallsville, keeping the Lobos undefeated in Tuesday's District 15-5A game.
The first goal came from a corner kick by Alex Blanco, but Miguel Gonzalez headed it home from five yards out 12 minutes into the game.
With one minute left in the first half, Anthony Monzabias headed in Miguel Rojo's corner kick for a 2-0 lead.
In the second half, Gonzalez's long throw was headed in by Parker Kelsey to make it 3-0.
“Tonight was great goaltending from Trevor Grant and great offensive work from Carsten Guerra,” Lobos head coach James Wright said.
Lobo JV won 5-0.
Longview hosts Marshall on Senior Night Friday at Lobo Stadium.

Longview 3, Hall Building 2: The Longview Lady Lobos built a 2-1 halftime lead to beat Hallsville 3-2 in a District 15-5A game.
Evelyn Campos scored off an assist from Kim Almonasid to start the game for Longview. Yuri Alba tapped Danausia Johnson's shot into the back of the goal for a 2-0 lead.
Hallsville cut the lead in half with a free kick goal in the final minute of the game, and tied the score with a penalty kick nine minutes into the second half.
Kat Makowitz scored off an assist from Alba with three minutes remaining, and the Lady Lobos won 3-2.
“It was a great soccer game,” Lady Lobo head coach Ron Bellamy said. “The team responded well tonight.”
With the win, the Lady Lobos improve to 12-2-4 overall and 8-0-2 in district play as they head to Marshall on Friday.
Lady Lobo JV won 4-0 and now stands at 16-0 and 9-0.
