MEDFORD, Mass. (July 16, 2024) – After an appearance in the New England Small College Athletic Association (NESCAC) Finals in 2023, the Tufts University men’s ice hockey team will be looking to build on that strong campaign with a new head coach. Pat Norton The 2024-25 schedule has been announced.
The Jambos will play 10 home games this winter at Malden Valley Forum, nine of which will be against conference rivals. The first four games of the season for the Jambos will be conference, with a trip to Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut on Friday, November 15th at 7pm. The following day, Tufts University will face Trinity College at 3pm in a rematch of the league championship game on November 16th.
Tufts will host Middlebury College and Williams College in Malden on Nov. 22 and 23, before facing Babson College on Nov. 26 in its only home non-conference game of the season.
The Jambos will then travel to the North Country Tournament at SUNY Potsdam in upstate New York, playing their opening game against SUNY Canton on Saturday, November 30th at 7pm, before competing in the finals or consolation round the following day in Potsdam.
The Jambos will wrap up their first semester of action on Dec. 6 and 7 before traveling to Maine to take on Colby College on Dec. 6 at 7 p.m., then take on Bowdoin College on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Brunswick, Maine. Tufts University will open the 2025 season with a trip to the Sunshine State before competing in the Tampa Bay Classic on Jan. 3 and 4 in Tampa, Fla.
Tufts University will return home for a fourth straight game, taking on Hamilton College on January 17 at 7 p.m., before hosting Amherst College the following day on January 18 at 4 p.m. Wesleyan University and Trinity University will play conference games at the Forum on January 24 and 25, before traveling to Middlebury College and Williams College on January 31 and February 1.
The three-game trip will conclude with a home-and-home opener against the University of Connecticut on Friday, February 7th before heading home to face the Camels the following evening, February 8th.
Tufts' final regular season outing will begin with back-to-back games at Hamilton and Amherst on February 14 before wrapping up the regular season against Colby College on February 21 at 7 p.m. and Bowdoin College on February 22 at 4 p.m.
The NESCAC tournament begins next weekend, with the semifinals and finals to be played March 8th and 9th among the highest remaining seeds.
