St. Charles, Missouri – Christoph Papp, a player from the Lindenwood boys ice hockey program, has accepted an invitation to the St. Louis Blues development camp beginning Monday, July 1. This will be the second consecutive summer that a Lindenwood player will attend the camp.
“We are excited for Kristoff to skate alongside other top NHL prospects and showcase his skills at the St. Louis Blues Development Camp,” said newly appointed head coach Bill McCart. “It will be a great opportunity for him to compete against some of the best players in the world. We are committed to developing our players at Lindenwood and helping them progress to professional hockey.”
A native of Budapest, Hungary, Papp transferred from Northern Michigan University, where he spent the past two seasons. As a member of the Wildcats, Papp played in all 34 games last season, scoring six goals and assisting on 13 goals. His 19 points were tied for fourth on the team and he was also a member of the CCHA All-Academic Team.
Prior to joining NMU, Papp played one season at Michigan State University where he recorded two goals and 10 assists. Papp also played for Hungary in the 2023 IIHF World Championship where he recorded two assists in seven games.
“I'm very excited and grateful for this opportunity,” Papp said, “I can't wait to see what it's like to be a part of this organization and meet some of the players personally and I'm looking forward to a great week of hockey.”
The St. Louis Blues Development Camp will begin on Monday, July 1st and run through the 3rd. The Blue and White's scrimmage will be open to the public on July 2nd at 6pm CST at the Centene Community Ice Center.
“I'm really looking to soak up the information they're giving me,” Papp said. “There are a lot of different activities the players can experience and I'm looking forward to adding that to my existing routine. I'm excited to see what level everyone is at in the organization and hopefully this will help me on my journey.”
