The vandalism came on the heels of a two-year effort to renovate the courts.
This is part of Okolona's “Do It For Ty” project.

This is to honor former high school assistant coach Tyrone Parker, who passed away in 2021 from cancer.
Okolona Parks and Recreation Director Orndora Thomas said it's unfortunate this is happening at a time when the city is currently looking to reinvest in the area.
