This winter, High Country Soccer Association secured grants from every town in Summit County, and the funds were used to purchase collapsible soccer goals, soccer balls and cones for Summit County elementary schools to use during gym classes, recess and for High Country Soccer Association after-school soccer programs.
“One of the goals of High Country Soccer/Summit Strikers Football Club is to provide an opportunity for kids to play soccer every day, both within and outside of our organizations,” said Miriam Hickey, executive director of both organizations. “We are grateful for the ongoing grants and support we receive from the town, which allows our kids to have the fun of playing soccer on their school grounds and scoring in real goals.”
Registration is now open for the Soccer Association's summer camp, fall recreation league and Summit Strikers Football Club team for players ages 4 to 16. For more information, visit HighCountrySoccer.com..
