As we move forward this offseason, we're preparing for the upcoming NFL season, laying the groundwork for early best-ball drafts, launching new dynasties, and everything else under the fantasy sun.
My complete 2024 Fantasy Football Rankings It's already available as part of the Sharp Fantasy Football Draft Kit, but I wanted to add some annotations to the rankings for each position as well.
These rankings will fluctuate and be updated throughout the offseason as conditions change.
These rankings will only feature a brief bio on each player, but more detailed player bios will be published with full tiers later in June after the 2024 NFL Preview Book is released.
This list is based on a full PPR setting, but check out the full rankings to see how the deck shuffles in other scoring settings that don't place as much emphasis on receiving.

Fantasy RB rankings 2024:
- Christian McCaffrey, 49ers
- Breece Hall, Jets
- Bijan Robinson, Falcons
- Jameel Gibbs, Lions
- Jonathan Taylor, Colts
2024 Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings:
1. Christian McCaffrey: RB2, RB1, RB2 and RB1 in overall scoring over the past four seasons. RB1 and RB5 in points per game during the two seasons limited by injury. Played in 33 games for the 49ers and recorded 39 touchdowns (including passing touchdowns) in those games.
2. Breece hole: Second among running backs in total yards despite limited playing time early in the season and playing in one of the league's worst offensive environments. With Aaron Rodgers back in 2024 and fully recovered from an ACL injury, the offensive line will add a key member and be poised to compete for the RB1 overall spot.
3. Bijan Robinson: Only five other running backs recorded more total yards than him a year ago, and he did so on 50.6 percent of his backfield touches — the players who finished above him were 69.5 percent, 72.1 percent, 62.2 percent, 76.0 percent and 76.1 percent — so the offensive atmosphere is much more appealing in Year 2.
Four. Jameel Gibbs: Totaled 1,261 yards and 11 touchdowns on 234 touches as a rookie. A starting back who has room to expand his role as a pass catcher but may be limited by his total touches.
In the final nine games they played with David Montgomery, they spent four weeks as RB24 or worse.
Five. Jonathan Taylor: The Bulls are looking to bounce back from two straight years of underachievement after a big 2021 season. They showed great potential in the season finale, but touchdowns and receptions could be affected by Anthony Richardson.
