Arlington, Texas (May 27, 2024) – The U.S. women’s national team roster for the second round of the Volleyball Nations League, taking place May 28-June 2 in Arlington, Texas, features three players from Texas and seven Olympic gold medalists.
The Volleyball Nations League is the world's premier annual international indoor volleyball tournament. The top 16 teams in the world compete in a three-week qualifying tournament, playing four matches per week. The top eight teams at the end of the qualifying tournament advance to the final round.

The U.S. women's team went 2-2 in their first week of matches in Rio de Janeiro. In Arlington, they will face Canada (3-1), Bulgaria (0-4), Poland (4-0) and Turkey (2-2).
Middle Blocker Chiaka Ogbogu and Asjia O'Neill Outside hitter Avery SkinnerAll of them grew up in Texas and will be on Arlington's roster.
Ogbogu grew up in Coppell, Texas, and is a 2020 Olympic gold medalist who played at the University of Texas.
O'Neal grew up in Southlake, Texas, and won two NCAA national championships at the University of Texas.
Skinner grew up in Katy, Texas, and played at the University of Kentucky, where he won an NCAA national championship, and later at Baylor University.

Head Coach Kirch Kiraly He became head coach in 2013 and is a three-time Olympian and three-time gold medal winner as a player, having led the U.S. women's team to a 2014 World Championship title and a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Kiraly's first assistant Tama MiyashiroShe won a silver medal as a libero on the 2012 U.S. Olympic team. Marv Dunphy, Alfie Left and Erin Virtue.
The U.S. women's team is the reigning Olympic champion and was ranked No. 2 in the world entering the VNL. Since the VNL began in 2018, the team has won three times (2018, 2019, 2021). In 2023, they finished fourth overall.
