In less than 100 days, the Florida State Seminoles will face Georgia Tech at noon ET on August 24th. This year marks the first year of the 12-team College Football Playoff (CFP) format, and the Seminoles are embarking on a historic season, not just for the Seminoles but for all of college football. The Seminoles are looking to bounce back after being historically ignored by the CFP last season.
They still have a tough road ahead of them to reach the Promised Land and compete for a national title, the first since 2014 when the Notes lost in the first round to Oregon, 59-20.

ESPN recently released a list of “must-see” games for the 2024 season, and it's no surprise that FSU won two of them while continuing to stake its claim to first place in the ACC. Florida State is scheduled to face Notre Dame for the 12th time in series history on November 9th, and it could be one of the Noles' toughest games of the season.
This will be the 12th time FSU and Notre Dame have met, but this quasi-rivalry includes some memorable moments — the 1993 Game of the Century, when the Irish defeated the Irish 31-24; Although they won, FSU had the last laugh. In the 2021 game that clinched the national title, FSU came back from an 18-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime on Mackenzie Milton (although Notre Dame ultimately won the game, Brian Kelly) ended with him joking that he wanted to execute the team).
