CASPER, Wyo. โ Kelly Walsh High School celebrated its second consecutive girls 4A state soccer championship with a school march Monday afternoon.
The KWHS girls soccer champions were led through the building lined with cheering students by members of the high school marching band and support coaches and staff. The celebration culminated in the gymnasium where the team unveiled a new flag marking the 2024 championship.
KWHS defeated Jackson 3-2 in overtime in championship play on Saturday in Rock Springs. The Casper Star-Tribune reported, “The game was won when Kobza's free kick into the box was deflected off a Jackson player into an own goal.”
