BOSTON—UMBC Volleyballs Isiah Miller has been named a finalist for the America East Conference Man of the Year Award for the 2023-24 season, the conference announced Monday.
To be nominated, student-athletes must compete in an America East sponsored sport and earn intercollegiate eligibility in their primary sport by the end of the Spring 2024 season or before the end of the Summer 2024 semester. Must have a bachelor's degree and meet minimum requirements. Cumulative grade point average is 2.500 (4.000 scale). Institutions may submit up to two nominees for each award, provided at least one is an international or ethnic minority student-athlete.
A three-time America East All-Conference honoree and both America East Setter of the Year and America East Defensive Specialist of the Year, Miller played every position on the court in 2023 and was named to the All-Conference Second Team. Obtained the right to participate. He earned OH/S/L/DS titles and was also named to the All-Academic team for three consecutive years. The rest of her illustrious career is summarized below.

Fall 2021: America East All-Championship Team and America East All-Academic Team… He was scheduled to return to a defensive specialist role, but due to an injury, he started the first eight games of the season as a setter and then transitioned to outside hitter. Had 42 assists and 19 digs against South Florida and 39 assists and 15 digs against Rutgers…had 15 kills and 15 digs against Quinnipiac in her first game as an outside hitter…her career He played his best match. In the America East semifinals, she set career highs with 17 kills and 24 digs.
Spring 2021: He was hired as a defensive specialist and participated in the preseason, but was called up as a setter before the first game and was named America East Setter of the Year (the first from UMBC since 2013 and the second in history). The nominations will be narrowed down to three male and three finalists, who will be announced on Wednesday, May 29th. The 2023-24 America East Best Men and Women will be announced at the conference's annual awards dinner on Wednesday, June 5.
