Rajinikanth attends grandson's birthday party

Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth's son Ved turned 9 years old on May 6th. The Cooley actor attended his grandson's birthday party along with his wife Latha. Rajinkunath and Latha greeted the guests and Ved's friends. While the birthday boy wore an Indian team jersey, his mother Soundarya wore a Chennai Super Kings jersey and carried her younger son Veer.

Ved is the son of Soundarya and her ex-husband Ashwin Ramkumar. The couple divorced in 2017 due to irreconcilable differences. Soundarya recently launched her own show 'GANGS-Kurathi Punal' in Mumbai. It will be distributed on Prime Video. Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh, Eswari Rao and Nassar will play important characters in the gangster drama. An official release date for the series has not yet been announced. Soundarya also worked as a graphic designer for 'Sivaji-The Boss'. Apart from producing her Tamil romantic comedy 'Goa', she directed the animated historical drama action drama 'Kochadaiyaan: The Legend'. The filmmaker also directed 'Velaila Pattadhari 2' starring Dhanush.

Rajinikanth's upcoming projects

Rajinikanth will next be seen in the Tamil action drama 'Vettaiyan' directed by TJ Gunanavel. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dussehra Vijayan in important roles.

Rajinikanth recently announced his new film Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is being produced by Sun Pictures, which has previously collaborated with Rajinikanth in Enthiran, Petta, Anaate and Jailar. Before the title was announced, the film was titled 'Thalaivar 171'. Jailer's music composer Anirudh and Bettaian's stunt director Anbalif are also associated with Cooley. This will be Rajinikanth's first collaboration with Lokesh, who is known for crime action thrillers like 'Kaithi', 'Vikram' and 'Leo'.
