HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Howland football standout Caleb Rose has officially committed to continue his playing career at the College of Charleston.
Rose is a four-year letter winner and has been a major contributor to the Tigers over the past four years.
Individually, he earned all-county, all-conference, all-district and all-state honors throughout his high school career.
“It was a dream of mine to play soccer in college, so it means everything to me to continue playing soccer at the next level in Charleston,” Rose said. “I love this school, it has the attributes of my dream school, and I look forward to showing my talents in college. I am very grateful to everyone who helped me.”
He led the Tigers to four district championships, two state final appearances and a state title in 2020.
“During his four years at Howland, Caleb was a steady force in the midfield, and by the end of his high school career he had become a dynamic goal scorer,” Howland head coach Brian Stiles said. “His continued growth as a player is due to his strong work ethic and desire to always improve. Caleb achieved success on his team in high school that will be hard to match.” He played a key role on a team that won four district championships, three conference championships, two Final Fours and one state championship. He will forever be remembered as one of the great Tiger football players. I look forward to watching his career continue at the College of Charleston.”
