Odd Burger continues to expand its footprint in the United States.
The Canadian vegan quick-service chain has signed its second U.S. regional representation agreement to open 40 stores in Florida over the next eight years. The deal, signed with Starmat Corporation, follows Odd Burger's first deal signed last year to open 20 stores in Washington state.
Odd Burger's menu includes a variety of vegan burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast items, desserts, and more.
“We couldn’t be more excited to begin the expansion process into the Florida market,” said James McInnes, CEO and co-founder of Odd Burger. “We are very fortunate to have such a strong partnership with StarMatt and are confident they will be successful in expanding into the Florida market.”
The company currently operates a total of 60 stores in the United States under franchise development agreements and continues to expand in its home country. This summer, Odd Burger plans to open four more locations in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, and one location in Vancouver, British Columbia, bringing the total number of locations up to 21.
Odd Burger opened its first location in Edmonton, Alabama on May 11th. The opening weekend saw the largest attendance ever. The opening in Victoria, British Columbia, scheduled for May 18, has been postponed to June due to unforeseen difficulties. Odd Burger's Ottawa, Ontario location is expected to open on or about June 1st.
