The Knights received the highest seed of the three teams and earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament. Royal (16-3-1) won his last four games before the state tournament. The final regular season game is April 25 against Warden, the district opener is May 2 against Wapato, the district semifinal is May 7 against Highland, and the South Central Athletic Conference district final is May 11. It will be a battle against Waruk.
The Knights are led by No. 19 Meridian, which defeated No. 14 Kingsway Christian 2-1 in Tuesday's opener. The Trojans, 14-4-1, defeated Linden Christian 2-0 in the 1A Northwest Conference district championship game on Saturday, clinching a spot in the state tournament in the process.
Friday's elimination game between the Trojans and Knights will kick off at Royal High School at 5 p.m.

Quincy, the No. 10 seed in the 1A Boys State Soccer Tournament, enters the state tournament on a four-game winning streak. The Jacks (13-5-2) defeated Warden 6-1 in the regular season finale, followed by defeating Manson and Bridgeport in the opening and second rounds of the 1A District 6 Tournament, then Cascade in the district title game. We beat (Leavenworth) 1-0. Saturday.
The Jacks will play No. 7 Toppenish (17-3-1) on Friday in the state tournament opener. The Wildcats defeated Wapato 2-1 in a shootout to qualify for the state tournament, then defeated Highland 1-0 to take third place in the SCAC district tournament.
Kickoff between the Jackrabbits and Wildcats will be Friday at 5 p.m. at Vashon Island High School. The winner will play No. 2 Vashon Island or No. 15 Cashmere on Saturday at 2 p.m., and the loser will be eliminated from the tournament.
