The Cougs and Wolfpack last met in 2000, when WSU defeated Nevada 75-72 in overtime in Pullman. In 1999, the University of Nevada defeated Wazoo 80-55 on the Wolfpack's home court. In the previous two meetings, Washington State defeated the Pack by a combined 63 points in 1970 and 1972.
For the Cougars, this season marks the beginning of the David Riley era in Pullman and his first season as head coach.
