Senior Aiden Bryce, a standout student and athlete at the Wesson Attendance Center, recently signed a contract to continue his academy and athletic career at Millsaps College.
Bryce plans to run both cross country and long distance track in the majors.
Natalie Bach Prater coaches the cross country and track teams at Millsaps. Majors compete at the NCAA Division III level.
During his career as a Cobra, Bryce played basketball, ran cross country, and ran track. He was named Wesson's Most Outstanding Athlete in Track and Field, as well as Best Male Distance Runner.
At the MHSAA 3A State Cross Country Championships, Bryce finished 30th out of 99 runners.
Bryce has left his mark on the track and off the court as well, being named Mr. Wesson High School and inducted into the Wesson Hall of Fame.
“Aidan is a great kid with a great attitude,” Wesson cross country coach Vance Windham said. “He works hard, never complains, and always strives to be successful. He started running in third grade, so he has accomplished a lot in just two years. He has accomplished a lot this year. He will be number one in our district and will be a great asset to Millsaps.”
