The Colorado High School Boys Class 5A Swimming and Diving State Championships began Friday in Thornton, Colo., with swim preliminaries and Saturday's final session, with the Cherry Creek boys winning all three relays and adding three more wins. It was an overwhelming victory for the 2024 5A team.

CHSAA 4A and 5A swim classes are determined by school enrollment, with 4A schools having approximately less than 1600 students and 5A schools having attendance of more than 1600 students.

The Cherry Creek team won with an overwhelming score of 458.50 points, which was the first 5A team win since 2021, beating Regis Jesuit's 306.50 points by 152 points.
