A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the brutal murder of a 64-year-old man in southeast Houston last week.
According to Houston police, authorities believe Karon Fisher, 20, is the person responsible for the killing.
Security camera footage taken by a neighbor near the crime scene recorded the incident as it unfolded.
Steven Anderson was walking down Woodridge Square Drive to pick up his mail when a white Dodge Charger barreled toward him. He immediately tried to back up, but his car sped up and swerved towards him before hitting him. After hitting him, the car reversed over him a second time.
Moments later, as neighbors called emergency services, a person believed to be Fisher turned Mr Anderson over as he lay lifeless on the ground, straddled him and kissed him. was witnessed. The suspect then brandished a knife and stabbed her several times.
Officers found Anderson unresponsive with multiple stab wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fisher, identified as male in DPS records but referred to by her pronouns in police reports, was soon located and questioned by detectives. She was subsequently charged with murder and booked into the Harris County Jail, where she is being held on $2 million bail.
