Binghamton 10, Portland 7 (box)
The Rumble Ponies and Sea Dogs traded runs in the first inning, but Portland took a big lead in the third inning when first baseman Alex Vinellas hit a grand slam off Troy Miller. Binghamton scored one run each in the fifth and sixth innings, and finally hit a big inning in the seventh to give them the lead. With two outs and the bases loaded, Rylan Thomas hit a grounder single up the middle to tie the game, and Alex Ramirez and Kevin Parada followed with singles of their own to put Binghamton on top, 8-5. Jeremiah Jackson hit a home run in the eighth inning to give Binghamton a little more breathing room, but that breathing room was needed as Portland scored in the eighth and ninth innings. With the win, Binghamton extended its winning streak to eight games and improved to 8-2 in May.
