Although he hasn't officially emerged as a recruiting target for Duke basketball, former Brewster Academy (N.H.) wing Dwayne Aristodo has been on the program's radar for almost a year. The 6-foot-8, 185-pound Dutch five-star, who just completed his first prep campaign in the United States, is still “in talks” with Durham's staff, according to a recent chat. Jamie Shaw of On3.
Aristode, ranked No. 19 overall and No. 4 among small forwards in the 247Sports 2025 Composite Rankings, has only taken official visits to Wake Forest and Arizona so far. But he plans to add a few more to that list this summer, with Duke, UW, Virginia and UCLA among the destinations he's currently considering.
Aristode, currently playing for the Expressions Elite team that is 6-0 on the Nike EYBL circuit, is averaging 12.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in just 21.8 minutes per game through the first two sessions. .
He went 15-of-28 (53.6 percent), further solidifying his status as one of the most efficient knockdown 3-point shooters in the country.
Perhaps Blue Devil head coach John Scheier and his team are still in the final stages of finalizing their roster for the 2024-25 season through the transfer portal, but Aristode's 3-point shooting prowess and versatile skill set are appealing. It may only be a matter of time before you decide it's too much to let go of. It's on the official wishlist.
As of now, Duke University Basketball's 2025 offer sheet consists of nine names, with all five-star talents ranked within the top 20 in the class, and as of earlier this week, That includes the No. 1 overall prospect of the cycle in Fick Prep (Calif.) forward A.J. Divanza.
