It's been more than a month since the transfer portal opened, with a number of top-tier talents pledging to join various programs next season, and as summer practice quickly approaches, many teams are making changes to their rosters. I'm busy putting the finishing touches on it. But some programs, like UNC Basketball, still have big holes that need to be addressed.

With most of the top 100 transfers no longer on the roster, the Tar Heels are forced to look elsewhere for talented big men to complement next year's strong roster.
After embarking on the acquisition of Rutgers transfer Clifford Omoruyi ahead of his eventual transfer to Alabama, head coach Hubert Davis and the rest of the UNC staff appear to have their sights set on new goals. And now they have taken a big step in recruiting players.
The Tar Heels have been linked in recent days to Vanderbilt transfer Ben Allen Rubin, who played two seasons of college ball between the Commodores and Notre Dame. He started his career with the Irish, eventually playing a season with UNC sharpshooter Cormac Ryan, and spent last season at Vanderbilt in the SEC.
The interest appears to be mutual, with 247Sports reporting on Saturday that Rubin is scheduled to take an official visit with the Tar Heels, which reportedly begins Tuesday.
The 6-foot-8 forward entered the transfer portal on May 1, the final day of the Open, and is ranked No. 117 overall in the 247Sports Portal rankings. In his only season with the Commodores, he started all 26 games he played in and averaged 12.3 points and 6.3 rebounds.
Tar Heel fans will be hoping the staff can work some magic on Rubin's official visit to put UNC in a position to address its top offseason priorities thus far.
