This year's Eurovision Song Contest will see 26 countries vying for victory.
Representatives from 10 countries, including Austria, Israel, Estonia, Georgia, Switzerland and the Netherlands, qualified for the second semi-final, joining the 10 other countries who advanced on Tuesday 7 May.
They will join the 'big five' who are certain to advance to the final, including Britain's Olly Alexander, who will perform his song 'Dizzy'.
One of the potential winners, Cork-born, London-based singer Bumby Thug, will sing the electro-metal song 'Doomsday Blue'. Ukrainian duo Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil are considered strong competitors with their moving national anthem “Teresa & Maria”.
In addition, the currently popular Baby Lasagna will represent Croatia with a quirky rendition of “Rim Tim Tagi Dim,” and Finland's Windows 95 Man will sing the quirky song “No Rules!”
Swiss international Nemo is also a big favorite with his operatic banger “The Chord.''
Fans expecting upbeat pop tunes may be surprised to learn that most of this year's songs are played in a minor key. Only two of the 37 contestants were in major key, the lowest number since the contest began in 1956, according to analysis by the PA news agency.
This will be the first time in Eurovision history that a song in a major key will not be played, after Iceland's Hella Björk and Poland's Luna failed to make it to the grand final.
The running order of the Eurovision 2024 Grand Final is as follows:
1. Sweden | Marcus & Martinus – “Unforgettable”
