The Auburn High School girls soccer team shut out McGill Toolen 3-0 and advances to face blue-tipped Hoover in Huntsville at 9 a.m. Saturday.
They advance to play a Hoover team that defeated Huntsville 3-0 in a shutout on Thursday.
After an early goal by Reitz, Auburn High got another goal from Kamila Bosman in the 29th minute, and Auburn High went into halftime up 2-0.
Goalie Melissa Smith made six saves in the shutout win for Auburn High School.

In the second half, eighth-grader Lurabel Hammer scored in the 79th minute to make it 3-0, and Peyton Bishop's assist led to a goal to tie the game.
Auburn High School head coach Bill Ferguson said earlier this week that it's fun to see senior leaders like Reitz blend with young talent like Hammer and work together toward a state title. Ta.
