Coaching children in soccer is a thrilling journey filled with sweat, smiles, and pure determination. Creating the perfect training session for each team's age and skill level can be difficult, but at Chelsea Soccer Club we're all about turning that challenge into a win.
Their philosophy is simple. Soccer should be fun for every child who kicks the ball. When the game is fun, players train harder, develop a love for the sport, and stay on the field for years to come.
Director of Coaching Matthew Clarke knows this first-hand. “At Chelsea Football Club, I am driven by both the ups and downs I have experienced in football. Every child deserves a positive relationship with the game and it is my mission to make that a reality. We don't just coach soccer; we foster a love of the game while instilling values of integrity, respect, competition, and fun.”
In the 2023/24 season, Chelsea Football Club has over 175 passionate children forming over 15 teams. But it's not just about numbers. It's about the sense of community they foster. Seven teams prepare to conquer the Cherry Capital Cup in Traverse City on the weekend of May 19th, promising a whirlwind of camaraderie, heated competition, and unforgettable memories. doing.
Are you ready to attend a soccer game this summer? Children in kindergarten through 12th grade can attend summer camp. Through a partnership between the Chelsea School District and Chelsea Community Education, summer camps are open to all ages and abilities. Veteran players can dust off their cleats and prepare for the fall season, while new players can meet friends and experience the fun of the game.
