North Florida transfer combo guard Chaz Lanier has reportedly been contacted by the Cincinnati Bearcats in the past few days.
Lanier attracted interest from a number of prominent programs along with Cincinnati They include Duke, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, and Villanova.
The Nashville native spent four years at North Florida, scoring a team-high 19.8 points on 44.0 percent 3-point shooting last season.

Cincinnati received verbal commitments from former Bradley guard Connor Hickman and USC freshman forward Alinten Page last month.
Hickman finished his junior season in 2024 with a team-high 14.5 points and 3.4 rebounds on 40.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
The Indiana product scored 14 points during last season's NIT quarterfinal loss to Cincinnati and has one year of eligibility remaining.
Paige was a coveted four-star prospect out of Wheeler High School and was ranked the fourth-highest prospect out of Georgia by 247Sports.
