The second day of the Nebraska State Soccer Tournament featured a total of six games, with two of the girls' games postponed due to Monday night's storms. The Junior Jays doubled their lead to 2-0 when Hogan Dorians took a free kick in the 22nd minute. This time, it was a low shot to the basket, and Prep defeated Elkhorn South 5-2. Papio South and Westside played in the 38th minute, with Westside leading by one point and Jeremiah Te taking the corner kick. Peter Wanjohi scored a header to equalize the score at 1-1 in the first half. Eighty minutes into the second half, Papio South's Drew Darnold put a shot into the top corner of the goal, giving the Titans a 3-2 lead. Papio South won 4-2 with a late goal from Elias Hernandez that sealed the game. They will advance to the next round and face Creighton Prep. The first Class A girls game of the day was Millard West and No. 1 seed Lincoln Southwest. The Wildcats were down 1-0 when goaltender senior Ella Konwinski held. But the Silver Hawks showed why they are the top seed as Kiana Perez scored off Maddie Schmeling and Lincoln Southwest won by two points. Three-time defending champion Gretna faced Lincoln East. After a scoreless first half, Spartans sophomore Kate Eggett scored her 10th goal of the season while out, putting East up 1-0 at the half. Gretna responded with a game-tying goal from senior London Defini, his 13th goal of the season. However, East freshman Elizabeth Verhoop came on in the 72nd minute to win the game.
