Three area programs bring state boys volleyball tournament to life.
Boys volleyball will have a new state champion this season, as Discovery Canyon (which had won both titles since volleyball was sanctioned by the Colorado High School Activities Association) was upset as the top seed in the regional tournament. will be born. Smoky Hill wins Boys Swim League title for first time since 1999
The Smoky Hill men's swim team tasted a sweet victory Saturday at its home pool as the Buffaloes clinched the Centennial “A” League Championship title. Cherokee Trail, Grandview make successful postseason run in 5A girls soccer
The Colorado High School Activities Association announced the tournament bracket on Sunday, leaving only two teams from Aurora (Cherokee Trail and Grandview) among the 32 teams that qualified for the Class 5A girls soccer state playoffs. The Cherokee Trail girls lacrosse team earned another spot in the Class 4A state playoffs by earning one of the 24 team spots announced by the Colorado High School Activities Association on Sunday. The Cougars (11-4) will be seeded No. 8 overall and will receive a bye in the season opener on May 7, but will face an undefeated team at home in the second game on May 9. A decided opponent.
