FAYETTEVILLE โ ESPN's Jonathan Gibnoy reports that Arkansas men's basketball standout Jonelle Davis has declined an invitation to G League Elite camp. G League Elite Camp will be held May 11-12 in Chicago.
Davis was not included in the list of players participating in the NBA Draft Combine announced Friday.
Forward Trevon Brazil, who entered the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday, will represent the University of Arkansas at the combine in Chicago on May 13th and 19th.
Givennoy reported that Davis plans to hold private workouts with some NBA teams before the May 29 NCAA early withdrawal deadline. If Davis does turn pro, he is expected to be a second-round pick or an undrafted free agent.
The first round of the NBA Draft begins on June 26th, and the second round begins on June 27th.
Davis committed to Arkansas through the portal on Tuesday. He left Florida Atlantic after coach Dusty May left for Michigan.
Davis averaged 18.2 points and 6.3 rebounds for the Owls this season and played a pivotal role in their bid to reach the Final Four in 2023.
He will be the sixth person to be appointed since new coach John Calipari was appointed. The others are transfers Zvonimir Ibicic (Kentucky) and Jonas Aidoo (Tennessee), as well as freshmen Carter Knox, Jonuel Boogie Frand and Billy Richmond.
The Razorbacks welcomed Kentucky transfer forward Adu Tierro on a visit this week, and with seven scholarship roster spots remaining, he is expected to make an impact in the portal.
