[for Lawrence] But on Friday, the 6-foot-4 graduate transfer guard from Vanderbilt committed to Georgia State for an extra year of eligibility.

It's unclear how deeply interested the Blue Devils were in Lawrence, other than Tipton's report. Lawrence is a former three-star recruit out of Georgia who averaged 13.8 points and 1.4 steals per game as a full-time starter for the Commodores last season.
Nevertheless, the 23-year-old becomes another of several border weapons in this year's transfer portal, reportedly being approached by Durham staff but ending up committing crimes elsewhere. It is said that it has reached

Meanwhile, former Tulane guard and fourth-year guard Theon James is an explosive 6-foot-5 bucket finder who was the Green Wave's second-leading scorer with 14.0 points per game as a senior. There has been no official word yet regarding the commitment from Theon James. That being said, increasing chatter among fans and officials on social media suggests that good news could be just around the corner for the Blue Devils in that race.
