The Central High School girls soccer team scored six goals in the first half to secure a position to finish the MVC game against Logan at Swanson Field early Thursday night.
The Riverhawks added two more goals in the second half, and an 8-0 victory was officially clinched at the 60-minute mark.
Central (7-3-2, 7-0-1) did not allow a single shot on goal to the Rangers (3-9-1, 1-7), remaining undefeated in the conference. The River Hawks led Logan/Luther goaltender Rachel McDonald to 12 points.
Sophomore Grace Wilkerson scored four points and Central won for the second straight time and fourth time in the last five games. Freshman Meyang also scored twice for the Riverhawks, all of their first-half goals coming in the first 32 minutes.
Gabby Jarman and Kate Heidersitt also scored for Central, with four of those goals coming on assists from Avery Boshard. Wilkerson also assisted on Young's first goal, giving the River Hawks a 4-0 lead in the 11th minute.

WEST SALEM — The Panthers tied the Vikings with goals from Sam Niemeyer in the 51st minute and Kayla Olson in the 57th minute.
Addie Ferguson assisted on both scores for West Salem.

ONALASKA — The third-ranked Raiders (8-4, 6-2) scored at least two runs every inning against the Knights (2-13, 0-8), trailing co-first West Salem and GET. It was within half a game. .
Freshman shortstop Tatum Drakowski went 3-for-4 with a double and scored three runs, contributing to Arcadia's second straight victory.
Senior right fielder Sammy Berg also went 3-for-4 for the Raiders, who led 3-0 after the first inning and 8-0 after the second. Junior Caitlin Bremer pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts and one walk while allowing four hits.
Senior shortstop Jenna Harrington had a triple and an RBI to score Luther, and Arcadia was helped by seven errors.

LA CRESCENT, Minn. — Senior Braylin Lange went 3-for-8 with seven runs for the Warriors (12-2, 9-1), who defeated the Lancers in a sweep after losing to Fillmore Central. (5 wins, 2 losses). 6, 4-5).
After going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBIs in the opening game, Lange had a double and four RBIs in Game 2.
Freshman Avery Augedahl went 5-for-8 with one double, one home run and six RBIs in two games. She hit a home run and had four RBIs in her first game.
Caledonia scored the first nine points of the second game, breaking a 3-3 tie with three runs in the fifth inning of the first game, with Adrian Lange and Aubrey Klug hitting two runs.
