GULF SHORES, Ala. โ The No. 5 ranked TCU beach volleyball team (29-7) begins its quest for a national championship. The single-elimination tournament begins Friday, with the Horned Frogs facing the 11th-seeded LSU Tigers (25-11) in the first round at 4 p.m. on ESPN2. If the Frogs advance, they will face the winner of No. 14 seed Georgia State and No. 3 Stanford in the second round on Saturday.

TCU will be appearing in the NCAA Championship for the fourth consecutive year. This appearance comes on the heels of his second conference championship title for the program. The Horned Frogs finished with a perfect 4-0 record in the Conference USA Championship and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
The new pairing is olivia kleins and Anete Namike Won the title of Pair of the Tournament. hayley hamlet, Angelina Cumil, Sutton McTavish and Ana Vergara Named to the conference all-tournament team.
Individually, Hamlett, Kmil and McTavish earned AVCA All-American honors. Hamlet and Kmil were named to the first team and McTavish was named to the second team.
The dynamic No. 1 duo of Hamlet and Kumil also received AVCA Top Flight honors. The 2023 AVCA Pairs National Champions have a 22-3 record, the best of any TCU pair this season.
Three Frogs achieved career milestones this season. Vergara and Hammett both reached their 75th career win on April 6th. McTavish achieved his 100th career win in the CUSA Championship against Tulane (April 26).
Last season, the Frogs went 2-1 at Gulf Shores and reached their first Final Four in the NCAA Tournament. TCU lost to USC 3-2 in the semifinals.

No. 11 LSU travels to Gulf Shores as the No. 11 seed in the tournament. The Tigers had a 1-2 record at last weekend's CSSA Championship. The team had one win over the then number one team. They won at No. 17 GCU (4-1) but lost to both No. 4 FSU (0-3) and South Carolina State (2-3).
The No. 11 LSU Tigers are a familiar foe for the Horned Frogs. On February 24, the Frogs defeated the then No. 6 Tigers, 3-2, in the third annual Coast College Classic. In total, TCU has a 9-7 lead over the Tigers.
