Stony Brook center Keenan Fitzmorris is moving west to join Northwestern as a graduate transfer for the 2024-25 season, he announced on Instagram on Sunday.

During his senior season with the Seawolves, the 7-foot center appeared in 35 games, averaging 10.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. He started in December and January, scoring in double figures in seven consecutive games.
Fitzmorris began his collegiate career at Stanford, appearing in just 17 games over two seasons. He then transferred to Stony Brook, where he appeared in 68 games between his junior and senior seasons.
The Overland Park, Kan., native averaged 9.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in the postseason leading up to the CAA Tournament finals, earning All-Conference Tournament honors.
This will be Fitzmorris' last year of eligibility, and he will likely apply for the 12th of the program's 13 scholarships.
Fitzmorris becomes the second portal addition under coach Chris Collins this recruiting cycle, following the Fairfield guard. jalen leech's Committed to Northwestern on April 28th.
With graduate student Blake Preston leaving the program, Collins is looking to fill the production hole with Fitzmorris, who will likely slot into NU's backup center role. He joins Matthew Nicholson and Luke Hanger as big men on the roster.
