SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint Soccer Association is pleased to announce that the spring season is off to a great start and has much more to come.
Sandpoint Rec League
More than 630 players are participating this year in the rec league, which is open to players ages 4 to 18. SSA is passionate about teaching not only the game of soccer, but life concepts such as communication, leadership, sportsmanship, and perseverance.

The Sandpoint Strikers, a competitive team in SSA, are in their third weekend of league play. While SSA's main focus is on player development, the league's teams have started this spring with strong results. Of the 17 participating teams, the club's overall record after 41 games so far is 33 wins, 5 losses, and 3 draws, and 10 of the 17 teams are currently undefeated. Those teams are 2016B, 2015B, 2014B, 2013B, 2012B, 2010/2009B, 2015G, 2013G Red, 2013G Black, and 2012G.

Upcoming Strikers tryouts
Sandpoint Strikers tryouts are free and open to anyone looking to take their soccer skills to the next level. Registration can be done at https://www.sandpointsoccer.com/strikers-tryouts. If he was born in 2007 to 2017, tryout dates are May 21st for boys and May 22nd for girls.
upcoming summer camps
SSA holds camps at Farmin Field in Sandpoint in June and July. The camps will be held June 17-20, July 5-7 and July 12-14 and are open to Strikers players ages 7 and up and Rec League players ages 4 and up. The lead coaches for this year's June camp are Brad Williams (SSA director of soccer operations and head men's coach at the University of North Idaho), Dan Anderson (head coach at Sandpoint High School), Anthony Fox (assistant coach at Sandpoint High School), and Kelsey.・Became Parson (University of North Idaho).
