Colorado Springs, Colorado (April 25, 2024) – The reigning Olympic champions, the U.S. women's national team, will play three games this July against world No. 10 Netherlands at the Walter Pyramid on the campus of Long Beach State University in California.
This will be the last chance to see the world's No. 2-ranked team play on American soil before heading to the 2024 Paris Olympics to defend their title. The USA Volleyball Cup will be held on July 10th and July 12th at 7pm PT and July 14th at 4pm PT and is expected to be sold out, similar to 2022.
“We hope our fans can join us in Long Beach,” said U.S. head coach Karch Killary. “This is a great chance to show your support for the U.S. Women's National Team before they leave for Paris. Women's volleyball at this level is even better when you see it live.”
At the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, the American women's team defeated the Netherlands to win the bronze medal. The last time the two teams met was in the 2021 Volleyball Nations League qualifiers, where the U.S. won 3-0.
The U.S. Women's Olympic Team has not yet been named, but the players competing in the USAV Cup will come from the current national team (see roster below).
