The Mavericks earned their first Columbia Basin Big 9 win of the season last week, defeating league-leading Eastmont 2-1 at home on April 16. In the next game on Friday, Moses Lake lost 5-0 on the road to Sunnyside. After Tuesday's home game against West Valley (Yakima), Moses Lake (4-9-1) is scheduled to play Davis on Friday and Wenatchee on Tuesday.

Ephrata
On April 13, Ephrata lost 3-2 to Prosser, and the Mustangs defeated the Tigers 6-5 in a shootout. In the loss, sophomore Avian Soto and senior Eduardo Gonzalez scored to give Ephrata a 2-1 lead, but the Mustangs added the extra point to force overtime before winning in a shootout.
Ephrata, which lost to the Mustangs, lost 4-0 to Central Washington Athletic Conference leader East Valley (Yakima) on April 16 and lost 3-0 at home to Grandview on Friday. The Tigers (4-9-1) faced Othello on Tuesday night and hosted Serra on Thursday for their final regular season game.
Othello
With wins over Cashmere and Serra last week, the Huskies improved to 9-5-1 overall and 7-3 in the CWAC this spring with two games remaining on their schedule.
In the game against Cashmere, Othello led the Bulldogs with goals from senior Felipe Haro (twice), junior Assaf Alfaro, junior Ruben Mancilla, junior Larry Maldonado, and senior Don Eldler. We won 6-0. Two days later, against Cashmere, Othello seniors Anthony Avandis, John Reyes, and Maldonado each scored twice in a 4-1 victory.
Othello defeated Serra to secure a second place finish in the CWAC.

After losing 1-0 to Royal on April 13, the Jackrabbits bounced back with a 10-0 win over Ormack on Thursday for their fifth win of the season in the Caribou Trail League. Quincy hosted league-leading Cascade (Leavenworth) on Tuesday night, but scores were not available by press deadline. See Thursday's Columbia Basin Herald for game results.
Following the matchup with the Kodiaks, the Jacks (9-3-2) will travel to Cashmere on Thursday and host the Warden on Tuesday night for their final regular season game.

After senior Santiago Gonzalez scored the only goal of the game to beat Quincy 1-0, the Knights defeated Kiona Benton 3-0 on April 16 and defeated College Place 4-4 on Saturday. I broke it with 0.
Gonzalez, senior Freddy Cabrera and senior Jose Victoriano scored in the win against the Bears. Sophomore Victor Aquino, senior Miguel Soriano-Nieto and Gonzalez scored twice against the Eagles over the weekend against College Place.
The Royals (11-2) traveled to Vaaluch for a matchup of teams in the South Central Athletic Conference, but scores were not available by press deadline. For complete results of the game, check out Thursday's Columbia Basin Herald.
Varuk
The Varuch (13-1) picked up wins over Connell and Mabton last week, defeated the Eagles 3-0 at home on Tuesday and defeated the Vikings 3-1 on the road Thursday.
Against the Eagles, Warrior freshman Ikker Lopez scored two goals and was joined by senior Diego Olivares to round out the Vaaluch's 3-0 victory. Three players scored for the Warriors, who won 3-1 against Mabton on Thursday. Olivarez, junior Diego Perez and junior Alvaro Rodriguez.
Warloo hosted the game against Royal on Tuesday afternoon, but scores were not available by press deadline. Varuch closed out the regular season with a road trip against Kiona Benton.

The Warden's record fell to 4-6 in league play this spring after Thursday's 2-1 loss to Connell, which tied them at 6-6. The Cougars have a packed week ahead of them. After Tuesday's home game against Mabton, the Warden will head to Royal on Thursday, host Omak on Friday and travel to Quincy on Tuesday.
