Brodie Killough commits to Huntingdon University soccer team

Brody Killough, 18, a senior at Fort Dale Academy, committed to play soccer at Huntingdon College during a signing ceremony April 10 at the Fort Dale Library. Mr. Killough, who has been a student at Fort Dale Academy since his second year, expressed excitement for the next chapter of his academic and athletic journey.
“It was a great facility. I really enjoyed my visit,” Killough said. “The coach was really nice and he seemed to know a lot about soccer, so I just wanted to be coached by him.”
Expressing an interest in pursuing a career in sports-related physical therapy, Killough found her perfect fit at Huntingdon University. Private Methodist University in Montgomery offers majors in kinesiology and exercise science as well as sports and fitness management/management.
Brody's mother, Crystal Killough, expressed her excitement over her son's accomplishment.
“We're excited. He's put in a lot of effort to get to this point,” Crystal said. “It's bittersweet as a mom, but we're really proud of him…to see him follow his dreams.”
Fort Dale soccer coach Henry Ellis, who has led the team in Fort Dale for 12 years, expressed pride in watching Killough's growth and said he sees similarities between himself and younger Brody. Stated.
“We started with Brody when I first moved to town,” Ellis said. “So, I've had him since he was six years old and just watching him grow up, it's been really cool to see his passion go straight to soccer almost from day one. It was fun. It was fun to watch him grow just like me.
“I'm excited about Brody's opportunity and he's definitely deserved it because he's put in so much effort. When I heard he was going to get this opportunity, I was so excited and , I believe he will do well.”
Killough's commitment to Huntingdon University marks a significant milestone in his academic and athletic journey, highlighting his dedication and passion for football. As he prepares to embark on this new chapter, his family and friends celebrate his accomplishments and look forward to his future successes.
