(Underwood) — The Eagles went 5-4 in the young year and are currently on a three-game winning streak. Coach Eric Rodgers believes that was simply because he was good at putting the ball in the back of the net.
“I think we’re going to improve and start to find our rotation,” Rodgers said. “We're starting to get everyone back healthy. We're going to start playing some good football and have the best team in place to get ready for the postseason.”
Kayden Ogle led the Eagles with 30 goals on the year, Gus Bashore added nine goals and Dyson Rasmussen added seven.
“Ogle has always been good in the final third. He's just a sharp shooter for us,” Rodgers said.
Rodgers credits players who don't necessarily appear in the stats column, including Bowie Betts, Graham Jensen, Ethan Robertson and Manuel Rodgers.
The Eagles will play Harlan at home on April 23rd in what should be a good game for both teams.
“It's hard to read the ratings of other teams. When you look at the scores, everyone seems to have beaten the teams they deserved to beat and we've struggled in other games as well. We know we can do our best. We feel pretty good about our chances,'' Rodgers said.
