The second round of the GHSA Soccer Playoffs begins on Tuesday, April 23rd and runs through the weekend. Eleven teams from the Greater Savannah region remain, with six women's teams and five men's teams looking to advance to the Elite 8 in their respective weight classes.

North Paulding (10-5-2) vs. Richmond Hill (16-0-2), Tuesday, April 23, 6 p.m.
The Wildcats continue their winning streak with a 2-0 win over South Gwinnett. The undefeated team's next matchup will be against North Paulding, which beat East Coweta 2-1 in the first round.
Class 4A
Whitewater (13-4-1) at Islands (9-6-1), Thursday, April 25, Islands Stadium, 5 p.m.
Sophomore Holly Kachmar scored five goals for the Sharks, and Olivia Gentner also had two assists as the Islanders defeated Baldwin 7-1 in the first round. Kachmar led the Sharks with 13 goals, while Gentner had nine goals and nine assists.
The Sharks (9-6-1), the current Region 3-4A champions, are scheduled to host Whitewater in the first end of a doubleheader, and the Islanders boys team will also face Whitewater in a Sweet 16 matchup. I plan to. Whitewater has three strong scoring threats in Ezra Oliver (15 goals), Madison McGeehy and Chloe Roberts (12 goals each).
class 3A
St. Vincent's (10-5-1) vs. Richmond Academy (14-2), Tuesday, April 23, 5:30 p.m.
The Saints got the job done, defeating Jackson 6-1 in the first round. SVA now heads off to take on the Richmond Academy team that won the Region 3-4A title. SVA is ranked No. 7 among Class 3A teams in the state by Score Atlanta and made the playoffs, while Richmond Academy is ranked No. 6.
Mary Grace Myers had two goals and an assist and Abby Tvrudy had two goals for the Saints, who were the No. 2 seed in Region 3-3A.
Morgan County (8-6) Savannah Country Day (14-2) Tuesday, April 23, 4:30 p.m.
SCD defeated visiting Upson-Lee 6-0 in the first round with two goals from Harris Stone and two goals and one assist from Ella Stone.
The Hornets, ranked third among Class 3A teams in the state by Score Atlanta, are led by Sophia Okumu, who has 16 goals. Harris Stone had 15 goals and 10 assists, and Reece Bailey had 14 goals and nine assists. AC Davis also contributed with 12 goals and 11 assists.
class 2A
Jeff Davis (9-10), Duffin Park's Savannah Ertz (15-4), Thursday, April 25, 5 p.m.
The Panthers finished the first round with a 10-0 win against Central Macon. Sophomore Amelia Leci had a hat trick and added three assists in the win, giving her 46 goals and 10 assists on the season.Riley Fetzner and Jordan Gunn each added two goals for the Panthers.
Jeff Davis is led by star freshman Alex Arano, who had 25 goals and four assists on the year.
Class A Division I
Tuesday, April 23, Bryan County (10-6-2) vs. Lamar County (7-7)
Bryan County, the No. 2 seed in Region 3A Division I, defeated Swainsboro 3-1 in the first round as sophomore Colby English had two goals and one assist and Haley Thomas had one goal and one assist. It broke. Bryan County is currently scheduled to play Lamar County, the No. 1 seed in Region 4.

Riverwood (14-3-1) vs. South Effingham (15-2-1), Friday, April 26, time TBA.
The Mustangs entered the first round as the No. 2 seed in Region 2-6A and showed their strength with a 7-1 win over Forest Park. For the Mustangs, Tim France had two goals, Desmond Prince had two assists and one goal, senior Edson Escobar had three assists and one goal, and Tyler Quick had one goal and one assist.
South Effingham will host the Sweet 16 matchup as No. 4 seed Riverwood, 4-6 in the region, defeated the No. 1 seed Veterans, 3-2.
Class 4A
Whitewater (14-2-1) at Islanders (12-5-1) Thursday, April 25, 7 p.m.
The Islanders won 5-0 in the first round against Spalding, with Evan Narvaez scoring two goals and assisting on two others. Jack Stephens scored two goals and Ryan Winters also scored for the Region 3-4A champions.
The Islanders will face a strong Whitewater team, currently the No. 2 seed in Region 4-4A. For the Wildcats, junior Eli Bannister leads the team with 25 goals and eight assists, while Jackson Morgan has 16 goals and seven assists.
Benedictine (10-6-2), Starr's Mill (12-3-2), Friday, April 26, 5:30 p.m.
The Cadets entered the first round as the No. 2 seed in Region 3-4A and had an impressive 5-0 win over Griffin. Chris Woods had a hat trick and an assist for the Cadets, and Parker Lewis and Robert Leonard added goals. Asher Herrin added two assists.
Starr's Mill, the Region 4-4A champion, defeated Hardaway 11-1 in the season opener.
class 3A
Richmond Academy (12-4) at Savannah Country Day (14-0-1) Wednesday, April 24, 6 p.m.
Savannah Country Day, which entered the playoffs ranked No. 1 among Class 3A teams in Georgia by Score Atlanta, showed why with a solid performance in the first round. The Hornets defeated Upson-Lee 5-0 in that game, improving to 14-0-1 on the year.
Class A Division I
Temple (3-10-1), Woodville Tompkins (10-4-1), Thursday, April 25, 5 p.m., Memorial Stadium.
The No. 1 Region 3A Division I champion Wolverines defeated Dublin 6-2 in the first round. For the Wolverines, senior Luis Lopez had three goals and one assist, Mikael Daniels had two goals and freshman Chris Barner also had a goal. Temple received a bye in the first round.
