Five home games and a key early October showdown with last season's conference champion Augustana University will highlight the University of Minnesota-Duluth's 2024 football schedule, officially announced Monday.
The Bulldogs will begin their 91st intercollegiate season on the road when they return to visit Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan on Thursday, August 25th. From there, UMD will enter a conference schedule, with the home opener doubling as UMD's annual military game. Appreciation Day on Saturday, September 14th, against Minnesota State University-Moorhead. The Bulldogs then travel to Bismarck, North Dakota to take on the University of Mary (Sept. 21). They will then return for homecoming and play against Southwest Minnesota State University on September 28th.
UMD's October begins with a visit to the Vikings in Sioux Falls (October 5th), and next Saturday, the Bulldogs return to James S. Marosky Stadium to take on Northern State University (October 12th). ). Next Saturday, UMD will return to Sioux Falls to take on the University of Sioux Falls on Oct. 19, then return to Duluth to take on Minot State (October 26). The Bulldogs will play Winona State (Nov. 2) and Concordia University St. Paul (Nov. 9) on the road in the final three weeks of the season before the 2024 regular season ends Nov. 16. The Bulldogs went 9-2, 8-2 in the 2023 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Sun and finished 25th in D2 Football's final national Top 25 poll.
