The LSU football staff continues to hotly pursue coveted wide receiver Jaime Ffrench as he navigates a visit-filled spring.
After a number of unofficial visits to top programs in the United States, an official visit to Baton Rouge is set for June 1, sources confirmed to LSU Country. On3's Chad Simmons was the first to report on the visit schedule.
French, the nation's No. 5 wideout, has several programs in his sights and is ranked as a top-30 prospect in the 2025 cycle.
Now, the Tigers will get their first crack at French, with Brian Kelly and others taking their first official visit on the schedule.
Visit schedule:
University of London: June 1st.
Miami: June 7th
Tennessee: June 13th
Texas: June 21st
With Ffrench tied up on an official visit, who else is on LSU's 2025 wide receiver big board?
Wide receiver big board:
Dacorien Moore: America's No. 1 wide receiver
Moore made his commitment to LSU clear in August 2023 and has remained steadfast in his commitment ever since. He remains locked in with Brian Kelly and the Tigers, but is certainly enjoying the recruiting process.
Currently, Texas, Oregon, and Ohio State are making noise, with three schools trying to keep him away from attending LSU.
Last weekend, Moore traveled to Ohio State for a visit with the Buckeyes' staff, choosing not to travel to Baton Rouge for the spring game.
The decision raised some eyebrows, but Moore has since corrected himself and confirmed that he is “1000% committed” to LSU.
It's clear the Tigers will be on high alert for the next few months until Coach Moore puts pen to paper in December.
Karik Lockett: America's No. 2 wide receiver
The Locketts headed to Baton Rouge last Friday for a weekend stay with Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 quarterback in the country.
The coveted wideout remained in town all weekend and officials believe the visit went “very well” as the Tigers move up the visiting list.
Lockett is currently scheduled to return to LSU for an official visit from May 31 to June 2, where he will be joined by several valuable targets, including the No. 1 cornerback for the 2025 cycle. There's probably no one bigger than DJ Pickett.
I like this spot as the Rockets continue to check on LSU. There will be a battle for his services, but the Bayou Bengals are gaining momentum.
Caleb Cunningham: America's No. 3 wide receiver
LSU has already received visits from caleb cunningham With more wideouts expected to come to town over the next two months this spring, the campus visit was a productive one for the coveted target.
The five-star recruit from Mississippi State was accompanied by some of the nation's top recruits on his return trip to The Boot.
Cunningham gained game day experience last fall and is aiming for an official visit to Baton Rouge in the near future after a positive visit.
Some notes:
Wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton appears to be swinging for the fences again after acquiring some impressive wide receivers last offseason. With commitments already from the top wideouts and the No. 2 wide receiver scheduled to return for an official visit, it's clear his formula is working in the South.
Moore, Cunningham and Lockett, the top three receivers in the country, all have their eyes on LSU as they prepare to play official visiting schedules this summer and into the fall.
The Bayou Bengals will fend off the Texas Longhorns and Oregon Ducks with Moore's services in the late stages, but Moore's commitment thus far is a big boost for LSU.
Another important point is that LSU has already committed to Louisiana's No. 1 wide receiver, Taron Francis. The Tigers, who are active in scouting, quickly secured his role.
