Darrin Hall probably won't get much playing time next season if the second-year guard from BYU decides to join Duke University's basketball program. Still, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound sophomore, who started 51 of the 68 games he played for the Cougars, transferred a week ago and was one of the first 10 players to play. Looks like the Devils are included. We are currently considering new hires.

Earlier this week, 247Sports' Travis Branham reported that Hall's list included only eight schools: Creighton, Clemson, Cincinnati, Florida, Washington, Utah, Utah State and a return to BYU. But on Friday night, Branum noted two more people had joined the group at Duke and Virginia.
Duke basketball head coach John Scheyer and company will look to secure a couple of experienced perimeter weapons, perhaps as backups for returning junior Tyrese Proctor and sophomore Caleb Foster. and is actively working. But so far, Durham's staff appears to be gaining more traction toward forwards, namely outbound Purdue senior Mason Gillis and Syracuse sophomore Malik Brown.
The reported late addition of the Blue Devils and Cavaliers to Darrin Hall's roster comes as Scheyer & Co. looks to replenish a roster that suffered 10 early departures this offseason. As a sophomore on a BYU team that was eliminated in the NCAA Tournament round of 64 and lost head coach Mark Pope to Kentucky a few weeks later, Hall averaged 9.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 29.3 minutes per game. .
The players signed by the Blue Devils for the 2024-25 season will join Proctor, Foster and six other freshmen who make up the nation's No. 1 freshman class.
