Cade Tyson, the younger brother of former Clemson star Hunter Tyson and a native of Monroe, North Carolina, is scheduled to be in Chapel Hill this weekend on an official visit with the UNC basketball program. Judging by his outing and recent moves on the 247Sports Crystal Ball, there is reason to be optimistic that the Tar Heels will land the former two-year Belmont sensation.

On Friday night, National College Hoops insider Travis Branum, perhaps the industry's most reliable predictor, became the first to enter the Crystal Ball pick in the Tyson race. However, his prediction of UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis coming out on top is the only prediction entered so far.
As a freshman at Belmont University, Tyson averaged 13.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while shooting 41.7 percent from downtown, earning him Missouri Valley Conference Rookie of the Year honors.
His second campaign in Nashville last season was even more impressive. Tyson increased his averages to 16.2 points and 5.9 boards and shot 46.5 percent from beyond the arc (first in the conference, second in the nation) on 5.5 attempts per game. In doing so, he was named All-MVC second to his team on a Bruins team that finished with his 20-13 overall under his fifth-year head coach, Casey Alexander, at Belmont. I got it.
Tyson, a four-star transfer prospect, currently ranks 24th overall in 247Sports' transfer rankings and has two years of eligibility left.
