The Mid-Prairie girls' team improved to 5-2 on the year with a 4-1 victory over West Branch in the Little Rose Bowl on Monday night, thanks to Elise Gingerich's first career hat trick and Lydia's goal. They have 2 wins and 1 loss in conference play. Beachy, an assist from Brooklyn Schneider and a goal from Ruth Witthoft led to a 15-save win. This season, the Hawks have won 18-15 with 94 shots, 48 shots on target, 26 corner kicks, seven assists, and 110 saves, giving them a team save percentage of 86%. Individual leaders include Gingerich with nine goals, she and Zoe Curtis each had two assists, and Niva Helmut in goal with 67 saves. Anamosa defeated Tipton 3-2 on Monday to improve to 2-0 and 3-2 in RVC this year. This year, the Blue Raiders outscored their opponents 19-15 on 136 shots, 72 shots on target, 16 corner kicks, eight assists, and 66 saves for a team save percentage of 82%. Individually, Chloe Breitbach leads the way with 10 goals and four assists, while Leah Whitson has 66 saves. Mid-Prairie has won three of the previous four meetings between the two schools, but it was Anamosa that won 5-4 last year.
