Hazel Park hosted the New Haven Rockets on Thursday, April 18th for the MAC Silver Contest.
It was all about the Vikings — two goals from Emily Hudnell and points from Lily Griffin and Kendra Miller helped Hazel Park improve to 5-0-1 on the season and 3-0-1 in the Silver Tournament. Improved. As of April 18, they are in second place behind Marine City with 10 points.
Lacey Chambers found the back of the net for Hazel Park, earning their third shutout win of the season. They are scheduled to return to the field on Monday, April 22 against East Point.
The Rockets, currently 0-6-0, are looking for their first win of the 2024 season under first-year head coach Nancy Espinoza. The next chance to get into the win column will be against Fitzgerald (1-4, 0-3 Silver) on Monday, April 22nd.
Hazel Park and New Haven are scheduled to meet again on Wednesday, April 24th.
