Fox Sports and the 64-team Tournament of Basketball (TBT), which features a total of $1 million in prize money, have reached a multi-year agreement to televise 27 games of the 2024 tournament on Fox, FS1 and FS2. TBT is a one-of-a-kind open tournament that allows anyone over the age of 18 to compete for a $1 million prize, and was founded by Mugar in 2014. This high-stakes sporting event has already awarded him more than $13 million in prize money. Inspired by the success of TBT, Mr. Mugha said he will launch The Soccer Tournament (TST), a 7-on-7, single-elimination soccer tournament, in 2023.
TBT is in its 11th year and is hosted by 64 teams across eight regions. All regional events are hosted by alumni teams representing prominent college basketball programs including Wichita State, Houston, Butler, Cincinnati, Dayton, Kentucky, Louisville and Pittsburgh.
The tournament's regional competition will be held from July 19th to 24th. One team from each region will advance to the quarterfinals of his TBT, which will be held July 29th and 30th. The TBT semifinals will take place on August 2nd, and the $1 million winner-take-all championship will take place on August 4th.
