Ryan Montgomery has committed to play for the Georgia Bulldogs. Here's what his 2025 QB will bring to Georgia's room.
The University of Georgia has committed its starting quarterback to its 2025 freshman class, as Ohio State native Ryan Montgomery announced he will play college football for the Georgia Bulldogs.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound signal caller from Finley High School in Finley, Ohio, threw for 3,377 yards on a 68.6 percent completion rate and was a finalist for Ohio Mr. Football last fall. So what does Georgia get from Ryan Montgomery?
Vitals: 6-foot-3, 220 pounds
school: Findlay (Ohio)
committed to: georgia
flame: He is well-built, 6-foot-3 and weighs 220 pounds. He has the physical frame to play right away and no changes will need to be made upon his arrival. He also maintains room for growth.
Exercise capacity: A multi-sport athlete, Montgomery also plays basketball for Findlay. He has the ability to lengthen plays with his accurate arm.
instinct: He's been a starter for three years and is in his fourth practice of high school football, and they keep changing the offense to put more and more of a burden on his shoulders. He just continues to see the field better as the box empties and coverage changes.
Polishing: He plans to enter university with a wealth of high school experience, having taken the high school entrance exam more than 1,200 times. All football players go through a period of transition and are going to experience the same growing pains, but there's not much this young man hasn't seen or done from a quarterback's perspective coming into college.
Conclusion: Georgia has a trait program at every position. Montgomery checks for many traits. He's big, athletic, and precise with the football. And perhaps the most important thing about recruiting in this day and age…Ryan Montgomery really wants to play at Georgia.
