The Highland Huskies defeated Sigourney Keota 2-1 on Friday night for their third straight win in soccer. Highland will respond as sophomore Gavin Cali rebuilds freshman Aiden Galindo to give SK the lead heading into halftime at home.
Junior Jared Diaz continued his strong spring with two second-half points to give the Huskies the win. Diaz's fourth and fifth goals of the season snapped Highland's winning streak for the first time since starting 0-2.
Meanwhile, Sigourney Keota fell to 1-3. SK will return to action tomorrow against Chariton, while Highland will aim for a fourth straight win when they host Mediapolis later today.
