The Florida State Seminoles have been on a long road to regaining success with a rebuilt program after the decline of Jimbo Fisher and the lost era of Willie Taggart, winning 23 games the past two seasons and winning the Heisman. It also produced finalist Jordan Travis. They won their first ACC title since 2014.
One of the main reasons for the program's success is head coach Mike Norvell, who took over the program in 2020. It's been a rocky start for Coach of the Year Paul “Bear” Bryant due to the coronavirus and a culture in need of repair, but the program doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

ESPN recently released its list of the top 10 head coaches through the 2024 season, and Norvell was ranked No. 5 due to his success in Tallahassee.
The culture he has built around this program is tangible, as he thrived at the next level and is still around the team, being found at practices and helping the Seminoles recruit and rebuild back to their glory days. It can be measured by the number of players contributing.
The Noles sent 12 players to the 2024 NFL Combine, and had an impressive showing with players like Braden Fisk and Jared Verse showing off their development, with six of them finishing in the top five of their position groups. .
Norvell recently signed a new contract worth more than $10 million annually, extending his contract through 2029, making him one of the highest-paid coaches in the country. It's safe to say that Florida State is committed to recruiting the former wide receiver turned award-winning coach from Irving, Texas.
