Navarre continues to perform well in the 2024 season, ranking second in Region 1-2A in the latest FHSAA rankings released Tuesday.
The Raiders finished 11th in the state with a rating of 15.966. As of Tuesday night, Navarre had an overall record of 12 wins and 1 loss with one game left in the regular season.
The current rankings allow for two more rematches between Navarre and Pace in the district and regional tournaments. The teams are 1st and 2nd in District 1-2A and 2nd and 3rd in Region 1-2A.
District playoffs begin next week on April 8 and run through April 11, followed by regional tournaments in mid-month.
Below is a breakdown of each class and state rankings for area teams.
class 2A
- Navarre (15.966) – 1st in District 1-2A, 2nd in Region 1-2A, 8th in Class 2A, 11th overall.
- Pace (10.173) – 2nd in District 1-2A, 3rd in Region 1-2A, 33rd in Class 2A, 50th overall.
- Tate (-3.869) – 5th in District 1-2A, 17th in Region 1-2A, 137th in Class 2A, 243rd overall.
- Gulf Breeze (-4.555) – 6th in District 1-2A, 18th in Region 1-2A, 141st in Class 2A, 249th overall.
If the regular season ended today, the four automatic bids for Region 1 would be Fleming Island (District 3), Navarre (District 1) and Forest (District 2), assuming each district's top team wins the tournament. , and Fletcher (District 4). ).
